CUTOUT features 10 Melbourne dancers investigating the tension between real and imagined histories. Lloyd created a choreographic system based on augmented landscapes, borrowed scenery, shared fictions and the endeavour of pilgrimage. The performers negotiate Eva Rothschild’s sculptures with ever-evolving choreographic parameters, addressing representation and the ambiguity between renewal and collapse.
